Sign up for a weekend or evening mosaic workshop – even more fun with friends! Or learn to make your own tiles in a class taught by one of our artists, all materials included. Santa Theresa also offers workspace, materials, and firings to experienced tile artists – just ask our staff for details. Don’t see a workshop that fits in your schedule? Stop by any time our showroom is open to make a mosaic!

This is a chance to get one on one time with our artists and your friends, employees, or family. Groups can work on a bench, table, or frame together or each person can do a personal mosaic, it is totally up to you. No experience necessary, all ages are welcome. Our Intensive Tile Making 1 class is a week long class where you will learn how to make your very own tile from clay to finished tile. This course is designed to help students develop the skills needed to create mosaic masterpieces using tiles they make themselves. Our artists will cover the clay body, cutting, glazing, kiln firing, and detailing that goes into Santa Theresa tiles.
All materials, instruction, and firings are included. Each student receives a basic set of tools. No art experience is necessary. Tuition $725.

This class will be an abbreviated version of our Intensive Tile Making Class perfect for those who can't take a week off for our regular class. We will still cover everything you need to know to make your own tile and join our Hive open studio time. This class will include four evenings sessions and two optional open studio sessions during the third week. We will cover the cutting, glazing, and detailing behind Santa Theresa’s iconic tiles.
All materials, instruction, and firings are included. Each student receives a basic set of tools. No art experience is necessary. Tuition $425.

Mushrooms, birds, and gnomes! Oh my! This workshop will feature speciality garden themed tiles to help you compose your own mystical garden mosaic. You will set and grout your mosaic and leave with your finished masterpiece!
Price depending on size. Kit Price + $45 Workshop Fee.
April 29th 5:00 - 7:00, May 3rd 5:00 - 8:00, and May 6th 5:00 - 7:00
During this three evening workshop, we will walk you through hand building, glazing, and detailing your very own 3D flowers. Finished flowers will be ready for pick up the following week.
Tuition: $175 + tax
Friday, May 10th from 5:30 - 9:00
During this evening workshop, you will compose a mosaic around tile house numbers for your home. When you sign up please tell us your house numbers and which color (black, white, red, blue or terracotta). We recommend a 6x15 or 8x15 frame with ears for this workshop.

Cancellation Policy For Tile Making Courses: An invoice will be sent when you register for the class and your spot will be reserved when we receive payment. A full refund will be given up to 4 weeks before the class. If you withdraw after the 4 week deadline you will receive a 100% studio credit good for classes or retail purchases.
All metal frames and tables will be ready to take home on the day of the workshop. Wood frames and benches must be picked up at a later date.
